Protest Attack on Democratic Rights-CPM

New Delhi, August 16: The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

The Manmohan Singh government has attacked the democratic right to conduct peaceful protest with the ban on the hunger strike and the arrest of Anna Hazare and his supporters in Delhi.

To protest against this attack on democratic rights, the Polit Bureau calls upon all its Party units to conduct protest tomorrow, August 17, all over the country.
