West Bengal Chief Minister leading a massive election procession

Accompanied by three of his party comrades contesting the upcoming Assembly polls in West Bengal the Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacherjee led a massive procession on April 9 from his own Jadavpur constituency  to Kamalgaji in south 24-parganas. If participation of slogan-shouting common people waving red flags in the procession is any indication the victory of the Left Front remains beyond doubt.
Before reaching Kamalgaji covering eight kilometer in three hours riding an open-air jeep the Chief Minister travelled three constituencies of Kasba, Tollygunj and Sonarpur (North) seeking with folded-hand people’s mandate in support of his party candidates. The response from the emotionally charged people frantically trying to touch him stretching their hands towards him made the Chief Minister confident of Left Front’s victory.
In fact, the red flags fluttering all over turned Jadavpur to Sonarpur red. Students, women, young and old  lined up on both side of the route along which the Chief Minister passed through received the Chief Minister.
